My husband and I just moved from Portland. I love Italian food and Portland
had every Italian restaurant known to man. I was very concerned about how I
would satisfy my Italian cravings. This place is AMAZING! Whenever we have
guests in town, this is where we take them. The food is amazing and the
portions unbelievable. I never ate at this restaurant with the old owners, but
anyone who isn't willing to try the new owner's food is missing out. They greet
you with a smile and are very glad you are there. Everytime I have been there,
Bob, has come by our table to make sure we are satisfied. What other
restaurant gives you this kind of personal service and concern by the owners?
It's your loss if you don't eat here. I promise if you try it once, you will be back.

This is absolutely fantastic food. The flavors make me realize what the chain
restaurants are missing. Huge wine list that won't break the wallet and the
owners are there at the door to greet you. Portions are more than one should
eat. Don't miss desert either.

This is a place where the owners and staff are proud of what they are doing
and they have every right to be proud. It's obvious these people enjoy what
they are doing. The food is amazing and so is the service. The owners chatted
with us and we really enjoyed our night out.
We recently move to the area and already have a favorite restaurant.

Their wine selection is the BEST in town! They carry a wide variety of wines
from your local vines to those abroad. Their prices match those that you would
get at the winery (at a per bottle rate), except for one winery who charges a
few dollars more than this great place. I have not seen better prices on single
bottles of wines anywhere. They beat some bottles I have purchased at wine
stores in Portland by $15! The owner is also happy to order what he can and
is relatively knowledgeable on wines himself. On top of this, he will give you
samples of anything that he has open! His website (
http://www.mamasfineitalian.com/ ) is a bit ugly, but it is functional, he updates
it regularly, and it lists most of the wines that he carries at the store along with
their respective prices.I am not a big fan of his food, but I am used to $30+
dollar plates from higher end restaurants in Portland or the big cities in
California. I must say his service is absolutely exceptional. Definitely among the
best! Very attentive during your dining experience. You get the same service
from these guys as you would from a restaurant that starts at $50 per plate
(not including beverage). They do not have the same flair and they are not as
polished, but they treat you very well indeed. I have only dined there once and
was served by a waiter who has a waxed mustache.I recommend going in and
giving the food a shot. It is not too bad for the price and the service is great. If
you are a wine fan and live in the area then this place is a MUST visit!Then
come back here and give it a rating because I really think it is FAR better than
the one it has been labeled with. The food is not THAT bad. I think it is better
than any other the other restaurants in this town (although I have not tried the
Thai place yet).Perhaps the reviews are from the previous owner. I went once
and never came back for years because of that experience. I had to be talked
into giving it another chance. It is too bad they do not have a star rating
system on this site.TripAdvisor.com is a better site for this, really.

The sweet smell of basil and garlic wet my appetite as soon as I opened the
door. The assortment of wines kept me pleasantly occupied for some time.
The service was way beyond my expectation; our waiter was extremely witty
and very prompt. Our glasses never went dry. Oh but the food, it was all so
good that we had to go family style. Thank you so very much for the
experience. I am looking forward to coming back again and again.

This is my husband's, son's and grandson's favorite restaurant. It's mine, too.
We have been to all regions of Italy and it is hard to beat the authentic Italian
cuisine at Mama's. I've never walked out of Mama's without a "doggy bag"
because they serve generous portions. Oh, and the desserts are absolutely
delicious! We always end up taking one or two home to enjoy later. I wouldn't
hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

Great Place!

First off, the owners of Mama's are wonderful! This is a great family place,
with the best pizza I've found in the Albany, Corvallis, Lebanon area. They're
entrees are delicious too, and the price is reasonable. The Wine Shop is
FABULOUS! Great prices, great selection and Bob always can recommend a
wonderful bottle of wine to go with your dinner. I have tried so many wines I
wouldn't have tried otherwise because I trust Bob's judgment. It's so nice to
have such a wonderful restaurant in Lebanon, and the service can't be beat!
